In large sauce pan over medium-high heat, combine potatoes, beans, broth, basil, and black pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir together cornstarch and milk. Stir into potato mixture. Cook and stir over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir in ham. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
